Telephone Systems
For most businesses, a telephone system purchase is only made once every
five to ten years. At some stage, the system becomes too old for
replacement
parts, or newer features such as voice mail, automated attendant, caller
ID, or computer telephony integration that make a replacement necessary.
Most phone manufacturers offer similar products, however, what is
different
is the advice and service that the phone system supplier provides. At
Discount Telecom, you have a team of people with years of experience to
help
you make the right decision. In addition, you can be assured that there is
a
large team of engineers ready to help you when you need it most, whether
it
is for a new phone system installation, a re-location or a simple
service. Discount
Telecom has forged relationships with all the local long distance
and internet providers, which can help speed up the
resolution to a problem or the critical timing needed when changes are
needed.
Many businesses and organizations in Sarasota and Manatee have
trusted Discount Telecom to supply their phone systems and peripherals. A long
list
of referrals is available upon request. The best recommendations come from
the people who are using the equipment and have experienced the service.
Auto Attendant
An auto attendant can be used to answer your calls directly or on an
overflow in the event your receptionist is unavailable. During closed
hours, an auto attendant will answer, state business hours, provide
information, allow your employees
to
receive messages, and, if needed, emergency notification or urgent
messages
for on-call personnel.
Voice-mail & Features
A lost call could mean lost business. Can your business afford this?
Discount Telecom provides a range of voice mail systems that can
compliment
an existing system or can be provided with the purchase of a new
system. They
vary in complexity from a simple "I'm away from my desk or on the phone,
please leave a message after the beep", to solutions that can take a voice
mail message, create it into computerized wave file and then send it to
you
as an e-mail with an attachment. You can then open your e-mail on your
multimedia PC or notebook (anywhere in the world) and listen to the
message.
Automatic Call Distribution (ACD)
ACD can be programmed to distribute calls to equalize call time, or call
count among available members in a department. ACD's can also be
programmed
to send call information records that can be processed by an external
device. ACD's have supervisory functions such as call monitoring, call
queuing, agent help and call statistics.
Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
The phone system can be integrated with your computer network to provide
customer information automatically from an incoming phone call, using
caller ID. The ability to out dial using your existing database is also an
option.
Evaluation of Existing Telephone Lines & Long Distance
Are your monthly telephone bills expensive? Would you like them to be less
without having to give up anything? If the answer is "yes", then you
should
speak to Discount Telecom. There may be substantial savings to be made.
For
example, if expansion of your telephone lines is needed, initially a
local T1 will allow you to increase the number of lines less expensively.
Evaluating your current long distance charges, usually can result in a
substantial saving as well.
You may have a long distance or out of state phone agreement to
communicate
regularly with another branch or office. You may find that switching
carrier
may substantially reduce the rental charges. You may also find that your
voice conversations can ride along with any existing data pipes or via the
internet, which can mean you may not need a phone agreement at all. See IP
telephony for more details.
Free Demonstrations
